This weekend the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed lounging in the sun as much as we could. Amelia went "swimming" for the first time and it was really cute to see her splashing around. She didn't seem to care that the water was cold or her crazy sister playing too. Thank you Jesus for the sun!

Tea Party Fun
Last Friday we had the first of many (I'm sure) tea parties with the girls. It was a beautiful day and the sun came out and warmed us while we ate little sandwiches, cookies, fruit and tea. The kids had pink hot chocolate and it was especially fun for Caley to practice pouring from her teapot and adding sugar and cream, not that her hot chocolate needed any! I love having friends with kids that hopefully Caley and Amelia can grow up with. It reminded me of my Girl Scout days, except now I'm the "leader" like my mom was.

Pinkalicious Cupcakes!
For her birthday Caley got this cute book called "Pinkalicious." It's about a little girl who eats lots of pink cupcakes and turns pink and the only way to get back to normal is to eat green veggies. So we read that book yesterday and afterward made some cupcakes. Caley helped a lot, counted the eggs, added the water and oil, and frosted them when they were done. I was actually surprised at how well she did, and she followed directions about not licking the spoon while frosting for the most part. It was perfect timing, because today we got to share the cupcakes with bible study kids (and moms).

Progress
Here's a little update on some cool stuff the kids are doing.
Caley's drawing ability is improving! Here's her latest creation while playing with the white board yesterday.
This one is called "Lines."
And Amelia is crawling! Sort of. She gets on her knees and rocks back and forth, and usually crawls backward, but she's getting the hang of going forward. Yesterday she showed us she can go from her tummy to her bottom (sitting). Yay Amelia!
And here's some progress in the garden with our rhubarb plant that we haven't done anything to for a year. I thought it was dead. The first picture was from about a month ago, the second is from this afternoon.
